Dr. Valiente was awarded the Henry Granjon Prize in the category of Materials Behaviour and Weldability last July in Denver (USA) during the Opening Ceremony of the 65th Annual Assembly of the International Institute of Welding for her paper entitled "Influence of the alloy level (Creq+Nieq) on the transition between [AF] and [FA] solidification modes in austenitic stainless steel weld metals".
