Dr. Asun Valiente presented a conference entitled "Effect of shielding gas and welding position on properties of duplex and superduplex welds" during the intermediate meeting of subcomission IX-H (Welding of stainless steels and nickel-base alloys) held in Berlin on March 31st.
The presentation included the preliminary results and conclusions of a current project that is being conducted by the Welding Research Group at University West (Trollhättan, Sweden).

During the same meeting, Asun Valiente was proposed as Vice-chair of the subcomission by Dr. Elin Westin, the Chairman of comission IX-H.
